Psychotherapy
My clinical work firmly stands on the belief that all individuals have the capacity for personal and relational growth as well as agency when they are validated and supported by their environment. In congruence with this belief, I am drawn to evidence-based and socioculturally attuned therapy approaches and interventions informed by attachment theory, systems thinking, and interpersonal neurobiology in my work. In my therapeutic approach, I prioritize client-centered and experiential techniques, with a specific emphasis on attachment, sensitivity to trauma, shame, and relationality. Also, I am committed to aiming for a third-order change in my clinical work. This involves acknowledging and addressing the societal contexts that influence my clients' experiences. I am attentive to power dynamics and the role of social injustice in shaping my clients' lives, and I strive to intervene effectively in these areas wherever necessary.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a member of the British Association of Clinical Counsellors. I work exclusively with couples and individuals. I apply the Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) approach, an extensively researched, effective, and evidence-based treatment, with couples and individuals. I have completed the training required to apply EFT and continue to receive regular supervision.
