Physician Mentorship
As a behavioral medicine specialist with extensive experience in internal medicine, psychiatry, endocrinology, and oncology, I provide skill-based training and mentorship to support professional development of residents and early-career physicians. As a mentor, I work closely with physicians to help them develop their skills in establishing clear boundaries with their patients and colleagues. I also focus on training them to provide trauma-sensitive healthcare to their patients, which is essential for promoting a safe and nurturing environment for their patients. Additionally, I guide them in forming realistic yet healthy self-care routines, which can help prevent burnout and compassion fatigue. Through these efforts, my goal is to help physicians become more effective in their practice and improve the overall quality of care they provide to their patients. In light of the demanding and emotionally charged nature of their profession, healthcare providers often find themselves struggling to prioritize their own mental health needs, as well as those of their loved ones. To address this critical issue, I specialize in providing psychotherapy and behavioral health interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of physicians as well as their loved ones. I aim to empower healthcare providers to improve their emotional well-being, bolster resilience, and cultivate a more sustainable, fulfilling professional and personal life.
